Характер продукции
Marine Grade Aluminum Zinc Indium Sacrificial Anode for Seawater and Sea Mud Environments
This marine grade aluminum zinc indium alloy sacrificial anode is engineered specifically to deliver superior cathodic protection in seawater, sea mud, and low resistivity marine environments. With a high current capacity of 2400 Ah/kg and 85% current efficiency, aluminum anodes provide the most cost-effective protection for structures permanently or intermittently immersed in seawater.
Why Aluminum Excels in Seawater and Low Resistivity Environments
- Highest Current Capacity: At 2400 Ah/kg, aluminum anodes deliver more than double the protective current per kilogram compared to magnesium (1100 Ah/kg) and significantly more than zinc (780 Ah/kg), reducing anode weight and installation costs
- Optimized Driving Voltage: Open circuit potential of -1.10 to -1.18V (vs Cu/CuSO4) provides sufficient driving force in low resistivity seawater (20-30 ohm·cm) without risk of over-protection or coating disbondment
- 85% Current Efficiency: Activator elements (zinc and indium) prevent passivation of the aluminum surface, maintaining consistent electrochemical activity throughout the anode's service life
- Proven in Sea Mud: Aluminum anodes maintain reliable performance even when partially or fully buried in sea mud sediments, making them ideal for harbor structures and seabed pipelines
- Low Consumption Rate: ≤3.65 kg/A·year consumption rate ensures long service intervals and reduced maintenance costs for large offshore structures

Sacrificial Anode Selection Guide by Environment
| Environment Type | Resistivity Range | Recommended Anode | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seawater | 20-30 ohm·cm | Aluminum / Zinc | Optimal driving voltage, highest capacity, lowest cost |
| Sea Mud / Brackish Water | 30-500 ohm·cm | Aluminum | High capacity maintained in low resistivity sediment |
| Moist Soil | 500-3,000 ohm·cm | Magnesium / Aluminum | Aluminum effective in lower end of range |
| Dry Sandy Soil | >3,000 ohm·cm | Magnesium Only | High driving voltage required |
| Fresh Water | 3,000-10,000 ohm·cm | Magnesium Only | Aluminum passivates in high resistivity |
Applications
- Ship hulls, rudders, and propellers in seawater service
- Ballast tank interiors on tankers and cargo vessels
- Offshore oil and gas platforms, jackets, and subsea structures
- Harbor sheet piling, piers, and dock steel structures
- Submerged and buried pipelines in seabed environments
- Heat exchangers and condenser water boxes using seawater cooling
